I decided to try to foot it from the mission to the golden gate bridge, possibly stopping for mass along the way. Grand ambitions gave way to insiduous onset of hunger pangs. Fortunately, Japantown appeared at just the right moment. I was expecting maybe a high tech shiny mini metropolis and was rather disappointed to find a sleepy backwater chocka with restaurants with funny names like "kimoche". Notice the grey car in the picture. There's always one wot appears out of nowhere to spoil your perfect shot, innit. I think the drivers make a career out of lurking around corners waiting for that perfect moment to zoom into your picture, just after you've pressed the trigger on your incredibly sleepy digital camera
